Trade Policy
At Coyote Ridge Books our business model allows us to accept books, records, CDs, DVDs and Board Games for In-store trade credit.
We do pay cash for college books and textbooks publsihed from 2013 to the present and we offer a free textbook quote if you furnish the ISBN number, located in the bar code on the back.
We accept trades of fiction paperbacks and non fiction titles.
We generally give a $1.20 credit per individual book that fits our needs. In other words, if you bring in a bag or box we will make our offer based on the bag or box.
Any books we cannot resell we will donate to local charities.
If you have a large quantity of books, due to downsizing or estate liquidation, contact us. We can set-up a house call or refer you to one of our independent book scouts who may be interested in your collection.
Store Trade Credit Policy
Once you have received Store Credit you may use that credit for 50% of the value of any Purchase of Coyote Ridge Books, Music or other Merchandise*. You must pay the remaining 50% with cash, check or credit card.
*The only exclusions are for those items that we have taken "ON CONSIGNMENT". Those items do not belong to Coyote Ridge, so cannot be purchased with store credit. (Examples include some decorator items, some collectible books, and some artwork.)
Example:
You bring in a box of books for which you are offered $25 in store credit.
You select other books to purchase valued at $20.
You will be able to use $10 of book store credit (50%) toward your purchase
and will have to pay the remaining $10 with cash, check or credit card.
Your store credit balance will be $15, which will remain on file in our store computer for your next visit.
Tips:
Carefully remove all stickers from other stores prior to offering them for credit
(Your store credit offer will be reduced if we have to remove them)
We will not offer store credit for the following books and merchandise:
- Damaged, stained or marked books (highlighted, underlined)
- Ex-Library Books
- Hardback books missing their dust jackets
- Magazines, Readers Digest, Encyclopedias
- Old / dated Computer, Texts or Technical Manuals
If you have a large quantity of books, (more than 3 boxes) please call first
If you have a very large quantity we may be able to schedule a house call to evaluate what you have.
